Golfview Estates is one of Gainesville’s original and landmark neighborhoods. Began in the 1920s as a grand old style country club community, building leisurely paced into the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The homes reflect wide ranging architectural styles, from an 1100 square foot bungalow to a 4,000 square foot Spanish eclectic or Tudor revival. Many of the homes are on the University of Florida Golf Course, the original Gainesville Country Club course, completed in 1926.

A picturesque neighborhood of rolling hills and winding streets, Golfview is next door to the University of Florida Law School, within a few blocks of the main UF campus, and an easy walk to Lake Alice. There are about eighty-five homes, ranging in price from about $240,000 to over $500,000.
