Forest Ridge is a sought after family community located just one mile from The University of Florida law school and within minutes of downtown Gainesville. The subdivision of about two hundred and fifty homes was built during the 1965 to 1975 period by Hugh Edwards, Bill Ridgeway and Fred Mason. The houses range in size from under 2000 square feet and are priced from $200,000 to $300,000. A twenty acre park with a mile long walking trail, a creek and playground lies at the northeast corner of the subdivision.
