This is where I grew up. Built from the 1960s into the 1980s by Gainesville’s premier builders, many of the approximately 175 homes abut not only the championship golf course, but also front Payne’s Prairie, a spectacular 20,000 acre wildlife preserve of prairie and freshwater marshes.
